报告题目:Fast Attribute-based Encryption

摘 要:Fast attribute-based encryption (ABE) offers fast decryption and ensures adaptive security. For example, fast decryption requires 0.1 second to decrypt a ciphertext consisting of 100 attributes while traditional ABE takes 4 seconds to decrypt it. In this talk, I will briefly introduce two new fast KP/CP-ABE schemes, which were published at USENIX’24 and CCS’24 respectively. The first scheme is called FEASE, a fast and expressive ASE (asymmetric searchable encryption). FEASE is based on a new fast anonymous KP-ABE. The second scheme is called FABSEA, a fast and anonymous ABE under standard assumptions. FABSEA is less efficient compared to the fastest one (FABEO, CCS’22) which is only proven secure under the GGM.
报告人简介:Dr. Yangguang Tian received his PhD degree in Applied Cryptography from the University of Wollongong, Australia. After PhD, he did post-docs at School of Information System, Singapore Management University, and iTrust, Singapore University of Technology and Design. Before Surrey, he was a research-based assistant professor at Osaka University, Japan. He is currently a lecturer at the University of Surrey, UK. His research interests include applied cryptography, network security, blockchain technologies and privacy-preserving technologies. Dr. Tian’s recent research works have been published in the cybersecurity-related international conferences and journals, such as ACM CCS’24, USENIX’24, AsiaCCS’24, IEEE TIFS’23, IEEE TDSC’24, etc.
